Training

Sophie Tehrani is originally from Manchester, England. She began her training as a dancer from the age of 3 at Sheila Payant's Theatre school of dance followed by Pendleton College at the age of 18 studying Musical Theatre.

In 2007 Sophie was accepted at the highly acclaimed Guildford School of Acting and later graduated with BA Hons in Musical Theatre, and received the Saskia Carter award for Outstanding Contribution to the School.

 

Professional Performances

Sophie has graced the stages of her home town of Manchester, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the London’s West End as well as entertaining on Cruise Ships around the world since 2011. Sophie’s performance of Anita in West Side Story staged at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford set the ball rolling for a successful performing career after catching audiences and critic’s attention.  Sophie has performed as a lead vocalist at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London for the Dora Bryan Concert, Cinderella (Understudy Dandini) at the Yvonne Arnaud, Guildford, brought to life the main role of Kitty in “The Screams of Kitty Genovese” an off Broadway rock opera, as well being involved in the original London Cast Recording of the show, and Lead Vocalist for Belinda King Productions on Seabourn.

Life at Sea

In 2012 Sophie began a full time career at sea and became one of the youngest Cruise Directors at the age of 26, for Seabourn Cruise line. In 2019 Sophie signed up with Zoe Tyler international and began a full time career as a Guest Entertainer performing her one woman headline shows on some of the most luxurious ships at sea.

Additional

In 2020 Sophie cofounded West End Workshops Live and started The Wedding Singings Portugal.

In January 2022 Sophie began a year long vocal coach course with two of the most reputable vocal coaches in the West End, Julie Gossage and Richard Halton of Vocal Balance, she is now an accredited Vocal Balance teacher

Sophie is a Vocal Health First Aider and Mental Health First Aider.
